#10 Nelly Furtado donates 1m$

I don't think their is anything wrong with what she has done. Personally she did her job to get the money in the first place. That is what she gets paid to do, it's not like she was doing anything illegal or something. Even though it was for a dictator who has caused a lot of problems, I still feel she didn't do anything wrong. As for giving the money to build schools in Kenya that is good too. I think she felt guilty towards having the money but it was still given to an organization where it could help a lot of people. It was her money to give and personally I don't think I would ever give all of it so good job Nelly.

#6 comments about field riot

I feel that the people that call it hazing are right but I also feel it is a good tradition that works for that school. Most of the comments say that it isnt hazing and that the grade nines like it. I would have to agree that yes it is a good way for grade nines to be introduced into highschool but I also feel that it could be put under the category of hazing. I also think that the people that just found out about this or that arent involved in it shouldnt really comment on how bad it is. They don't know what goes on so for them to say that it is hazing and bullying isn't right and is just creating issues that don't need to be brought up. I would say that yes it can be under the definition of hazing but really everyone enjoys it, it's tradition and it hasn't caused any problems that I know of so just let it happen.

#14 why do white people have black spots

I will remember how their definition of freedom is so different from ours. It is crazy to think about how they live and how they are treated and see that they think they are free. I believe we have freedom here but now it seems like I am taking my freedom for granted. How much they appreciate and like their life and what they have, compared to how much people don't like life here and how much we have. It doesn't make much sense to me.

#9 Poster

Wolf Pack for life yo!! We did the Aware poster for IDCI. I think it was a great idea for a poster and what IDCI is about. We are very much a charitable school that is aware of the importance of helping others in need. I also think it was a very unique idea that most people wouldnt think of doing. Our overall poster could've been made better. It wasnt necessarily pleasing to the eyes.

#5 Good Idea for IDCI

I think it is a good idea to have something fun and exciting for grade nines to introduce them to the ways of highschool. Instead of the boring assemblies and the boring introductions, give the grade nines a bad idea about what highschool is about. If we have this grade nine event where they get down and dirty and they feel accepted into the highschool, then maybe they would feel the need to join extra curricular activites or clubs because they are comfortable with the environment. Yep it's hazing but I feel that they sort of like the attention and feel like they belong.

#4 Pat T: A leader? a hero?

I believe Pat Tilman is a hero and a leader. He stood up for what he believed in and ended something that could of secured his life with added benefits. He was living the life most people dreamed about living. Doing something he loved and making a lot of money doing it. For him the army must have been important to drop his football career for.
He is a leader because he is seen as a role model. Someone who gives up the dream life for something he believes in. He believed that the terroist attacks were wrong and he felt it was right to find out who did it. He felt like he could do something more with his life then playing football.
He is seen as a hero because he is going to fight for his country and risk his life doing it. A nice guy going out to find someone who hurt a lot of people. He went and tried to make things right. Even though he died he will always be remembered for the heroism and leadership he shown on and off the field.

#3 ineffective habits

1-Jealousy
Jealousy causes a lot of problems anywhere. Wanting something or someone over another person or being angry at someone for living their own life can create a life waldo of regret. Regreting how you live your own life based on how others are living their life can create a negative attitude towards your own life and therefore make you unhappy.
2-Dishonesty
Being loyal and honest to anyone is important. It is important to tell the truth so you get the respect and loyalty back. This also has some boundaries too, being honest is good when it is something positive or helpful. Being honest to be rude is not a good way to show someone that you're honest, loyal, and respectable.

1-Selfishness
Thinking about yourself first is never a good way to live. Being selfish can lead to you being unhappy about how your living your life. It is important to maintain an attitude where others are more important then yourself and that way you could build relationships based on that. Although I do believe most people in this world are selfish I do think that there are little selfless type acts that people can do everyday.

4-Excuses
Excuses are basically lies that you tell in order to get out of something or out of trouble. They sometimes are reasons for not getting something done or not wanting to do something. Excuses are barriers which allow you not to move on and be successful at what your goal or mission is.
5-Over confidence
Over confidence can get you far in life, but it won't get you very far with your relationships. No one likes an over confident person who thinks they are a winner all the time. You will not get a good social or group or people will not like you if you think you are the best at everything.

#2 The leader within

I think anyone has the opportunity to be a great leader or show heroism. It all depends on the situation and what their life consists of. Depending on what type of person you are is what type of heroism or leadership you will show. I believe that everyone at one point in their life will step up and be a leader. It might not be the ideal leadership scenerio but it can be still classified as leadership. Their is a hero in everyone and when something happens that creates that hero type scenerio I believe anyone can step up.

#1 My definition of leadership

My definition of leadership consists of taking intiative for something you believe in. It is also about creating an environment where people feel comfortable and feel like they belong. Leadership isn't only about one person it could be a group or an organization as well. Anything that creates a positive change or makes an impact on someones life can be considered leadership.
